History of Pimpama Gold Coast

Pimpama is an area located on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. The area was originally inhabited by the Yugambeh people, who were the traditional custodians of the land.

In the mid-19th century, European settlers began to arrive in the area and establish farms. Pimpama was known for its sugar cane plantations, which were established in the late 1800s. The Pimpama Sugar Mill was built in 1881 and operated until 1954.

During the early 20th century, Pimpama was a rural area with a small population. However, in the 1970s and 1980s, the Gold Coast experienced significant growth and development, and Pimpama was no exception. The area began to see an influx of new residents, and new housing estates were developed.

Today, Pimpama is a rapidly growing area with a population of around 15,000 people. It is located halfway between the Gold Coast and Brisbane and is becoming an increasingly popular choice for families and young professionals looking for affordable housing options.
